The topic of this BLUE café is the role of digital tools in environmentally friendly dredging.
Numerical models and digital tools facilitate predicting the fate of dredge spill sediments, assessing its potential environmental impact and possible mitigation measures. DHI services the dredging industry by offering our expert advisory and trademark models, both rooted in our detailed understanding of the complex processes associated with the stirring of seabed sediments.
If models are supported by live onsite data streams and made web-accessible, then traditional models will advance towards truly digital twins unlocking new possibilities.
This BLUE cafe is about DHI’s recent developments in nearfield spill source description and launch of the cloud-based platform PlumeCast, designed for operational, fast & easy access to dredging scenario modelling and pro-active management of dredging-related sediment spill right in your browser.
Show up with a headset and avoid sunlight. Bring coffee, and we supply the music!
Looking forward to seeing you all!
